Glow June 2025
Thursday 19th - Sunday 22nd June
at Fforest Coast
Midsummer, the sun is at it highest, the days so long and full of light, everything seems full of energy, blooming full of colour and life, it seems as if anything is possible. There is something very special about this time of year.
This June we have an inspiring and nurturing weekend for women to get together in the goodness of wild nature, to share skills, ideas, stories, nourishment, joy and laughter, interspersed with deep relaxation, comfort, kinship celebrate midsummer.
We have some very lovely sessions planned to busy our hands and calm our minds, leaving plenty of time for walks and swims.
Our good fforest friend and very talented Ceramicist, Amanda Banham, will teach us how to make something with clay. We can guarantee spending a morning making with clay will be a lot of fun. Amanda has a generous character and is full of adventures and telling stories about them.
We are very excited to welcome Bronwen Gwillim an artist and maker who is inspired by the welsh expression ‘miltir sgwâr’ or the sense of being embedded in your own square mile. She makes her work from materials, both man made and natural that she collects from the immediate vicinity of her home on the South Pembrokeshire coast. In this informative and fun workshop Bronwen will share her passion for the environment and in particular for reusing waste plastic: turning the ugly and unloved into bold and exciting jewellery and sculptures. You’ll learn about different plastic types and how to use them safely to make things that have a distinct character and meaning. And hoopefully have a special little keepsake to take home.
Gemma David from ‘The Quiet Heart’Gemma David a wellbeing practitioner,
specialising in Acupuncture, counselling, movement, meditation, sound, nature
women’s cycles & rhythms specialist, will be leading us through a very creative session with our body, a ‘living with the seasons’ session for midsummer. Some gentle movement, followed by a sound bath of singing bowls, after which we should all feel a greater sense of calm and balance.
We have many comfortable spaces for creativity or to simply relax into a chair, listen to the birds and read a book. There is no end product, the goal is to leave glowing and refreshed.
This intimate gathering will be at our smaller coastal camp a short walk to beautiful Penbryn beach, the sea and a stunning coastline, with plenty of time between workshops for exploring, swimming. and daydreaming.
